This plug-in will enable you to use the chat software on Netscape 6 and above, Opera and MS Internet Explorer, etc. Certain browsers (esp. Netscape 5 and below) running on Macintosh platforms are not capable of running our software due to issues outside of our control. We recommend that Macintosh users use Netscape 7.0, or MSIE 5.x and that they upgrade to OS X 10.3 or later. As WebTVdoes not support Java™, WebTV users will not be able to access our chat rooms.

Users behind firewalls may not be able to access the chatroom and will want to contact their local IT/network administrator to allow TCP connections on the port in use by SigmaChat. SigmaChat generally uses ports 8000-8009 at client#.sigmachat.com, where # may be any integer.

Finally, some America Online users have reported that thay have not be able to access the chatroom with their custom browsers or if they have, the colours or emoticons did not load properly. If this is the case, we recommend that you minimize your browser window and connect using Microsoft Internet Explorer instead. Thank you.
